Opera is a privately owned financial services group whose growing portfolio includes Accuro, Amber (now Oak Bahamas), HFL, Meritus and Oak. We operate across eight jurisdictions, including Bermuda, Geneva, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey, London, Mauritius and The Bahamas.
This is a rare opportunity to help shape the commercial future of one of the fastest-growing privately owned financial services groups. Working closely with the Chief Strategy Officer and senior leadership team, you will play a leading role in driving new business, strengthening strategic relationships and identifying new opportunities for growth.
More than a traditional business development role, this is about helping shape how Opera grows. You will build meaningful client relationships, develop new commercial propositions and bring market insight that influences the Group's strategy across funds, private client and fiduciary services.
What you will work on
A snapshot of what you will be involved in:
Building and converting a pipeline of new business opportunities across funds and private client markets
Leading Opera's Diamond Client programme to strengthen and grow key strategic relationships
Developing Opera's Founders Office proposition and expanding relationships within the venture capital and founder ecosystem
Identifying and developing strategic partnerships that create long-term commercial value
Providing market insight that helps shape pricing, commercial strategy and future opportunities
Representing Opera across industry events and strengthening the Group's profile in the market
Who this role is for
This role is suited to an experienced commercial leader with a proven track record of winning new business and developing long-term client relationships. You are commercially astute, entrepreneurial and comfortable operating at a senior level with clients, intermediaries and leadership teams.
You bring experience within financial or professional services, understand the funds and private client landscape, and enjoy turning relationships into measurable commercial success. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are motivated by building something that will have a lasting impact.
