Opera is a privately owned financial services group whose growing portfolio includes Accuro, Amber (now Oak Bahamas), HFL, Meritus and Oak. We operate across eight jurisdictions, including Bermuda, Geneva, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey, London, Mauritius and The Bahamas.


This is an opportunity to play an important role in supporting the governance of a growing international financial services group. Working closely with the Group Company Secretary, you will help ensure the smooth running of Board and Committee activities, maintain high standards of corporate governance and support compliance across multiple jurisdictions.


You will gain exposure to a broad range of company secretarial responsibilities, from statutory filings and corporate records to governance projects and strategic transactions. It is a varied role that offers the opportunity to develop your expertise while contributing to the continued growth of the Group.


What you will work on

A snapshot of what you will be involved in:


  • Supporting Board and Committee meetings, including agendas, minutes and action tracking

  • Maintaining statutory records, corporate filings and governance documentation

  • Assisting with governance and compliance activities across the Group

  • Supporting corporate transactions, restructures and strategic projects

  • Helping maintain governance policies, procedures and corporate records

  • Building strong relationships with directors, senior management and colleagues across the Group


Who this role is for

This role is suited to an organised and proactive governance professional with experience in company secretarial or corporate governance within financial services. You have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and enjoy working with senior stakeholders in a collaborative environment.


You may already hold, or be working towards, a Chartered Governance qualification, and you are looking for an opportunity to broaden your experience within a growing international business.
